Usher Gallery Lincoln Book Festival

Fringe Event - Saturday 4th October

Join Caroline at The Usher Gallery in Lincoln on Saturday 4th October to take part in a FREE hands-on bookbinding craft skills day, as part of the Lincoln Book Festival.  You will be able to have a go at heritage bookbinding skills used from the early 1500s, such as sewing pages onto cords, creating decorative silk thread end-bands, and using gold finishing tools to make template designs. No need to book just turn up.


Usher Gallery Visitor Information:


Located in the heart of the city in the Cultural Quarter, The Usher Gallery is located next to Lincoln Museum and boasts a wide collection of ceramics, clocks, watches, silver and miniatures as well as artwork from esteemed artists like Turner, Lowry and Grayson Perry. Alongside permanent collections, The Usher Gallery offers a vibrant programme of temporary exhibitions. The gallery is open Thursday through to Monday from 10.00 am to 4.00pm.


The Muse Coffee bar located inside the Lincoln Museum provides a wide selection of teas and coffee as well as an assortment of cakes, light bites and savoury snacks. The coffee bar is open Thursday through to Monday from 11.00am to 3.00pm.
